Every Monday starting from July 27th join us for Salsa with Coco (Jorge Sequieros), New Zealand’s National Salsa Champion and International Salsa representative! Jorge (Coco) Sequeiros was born in Peru, South America and has been living in New Zealand for the last 17 years and dancing Salsa for as long as he can remember. As well as teaching dancing Coco has been playing percussion and singing in one of the most successful Latin Bands (Banda Latina) New Zealand wide, for the last 17 years.

Coco’s Achievements

1997 – Coco first started teaching Salsa in NZ
2006 – Coco’s group, Crema Latina, won the team’s event in NZ Salsa Championships
2006 – Coco represented NZ at World Salsa Champs in Las Vegas with group Salsamba, making it to the Semi Finals
2007 – Coco represented NZ at the 2007 Sydney Salsa Congress
2007 – Coco won the NZ Salsa Champs with Elena Pylkova
2007 – Coco’s group Salsa Con Coco are selectes to represent NZ at the World Salsa Champs in Orlando Florida
2008 – Coco and Audrey win NZ Salsa Congress Champs and are selected to represent NZ at the World Salsa Champs
2008 – Coco’s group Salsa Con Coco are again selected to represent NZ at the World Salsa Champs
